UPDATE: Community feeder march- from Mosswood Park on October 22nd
At last meeting of October 22nd Coalition, Gary King Sr, called on families, and
members of the community to join a feeder march---from the Oakland Community --on
October 22nd. This is the same route Gary King Sr and family & friends organized
shortly after the Oakland police killed Gary King Jr on Sept 20, 2007.
When we take to the streets on October 22nd, we will be demanding an end to the
nationwide epidemic of police brutality and murder. We will remember Sean Bell,
who was blown away in a hail of 50 bullets by NYPD on his wedding day, Gary King
Jr, 20 year old, who was shot and tased by OPD, Kathryn Johnson, 92 year old
grandmother killed by Atlanta police, and many other Stolen Lives. We will demand
an end to the immigration(ICE) raids that are wreaking havoc in immigrant
communities.

It is an outrage that Mycal Bell is back in jail!!!(one of the Jena 6)

This year we will raise the demand Free the Jena 6! These youth are victims of the
unequal criminal justice system in this country—that treats Black and Latino youth
like they are guilty till proven innocent, if they can survive to prove their
innocence. Free the Jena 6!
We call on everyone who opposes this kind of official brutality and injustice to
join us on October 22nd. Join us as we give the victims of police brutality, and
police murder a platform to speak of the devastation they and their families have
suffered and as we rally others from all walks of life to stand with them.
